Be My Valentine Bucket List for Kids
ART
Put tape on a canvas in the shape of a heart, let your little pick out their colors and paint the whole canvas. Now pull off the tape! Beautiful!
CRAFT
Cut out felt hearts. With a needle and yarn, string through the top of your hearts. Add a little Joy essential oil to the felt for feelings of calm and love. Hang somewhere everyone can enjoy!
OUTSIDE
Go on a hike and take pictures of anything that looks like a heart. The first one to find 10 hearts wins!
BAKE
Make some heart shaped pancakes for breakfast. Top with whipped cream and strawberries in the shape of hearts. Bake a heart shaped cake. Cook up some yummy GF donuts and top with sprinkle hearts. Put in some heart shaped cookies and decorate together to give to friends!
SHARE THE LOVE
Find something kind you can do for someone and do it without telling them. Then leave a heart shaped note to say you are thinking of them.
HEART HUNT INSIDE
Cut out paper hearts and hide them all over the house and have the kids race to find them! Put sweet notes on them to make things a little more special.
DINNER IN
Plan to make dinner together as a family. Before you eat, go around the table and say 3 things you love about each other.
SENSORY
To make nontoxic homemade play dough, for the senses, take Young Living lavender conditioner and corn starch add Joy Essential Oil and some pink and red heart sprinkles for a V-day touch. Knead with fingers until dough forms.
TEACHER
Gift a V-day themed mug with a happy essential oil roller and a gift card to a local coffee shop!
CARDBOARD MAIL BOX WITH FRIENDS
Talk with your friends about putting a cardboard V-day themed box on your front porch for the kids and have them do the same. Have them drop in valentines and you do the same for some fun happy mail the kids will love.
DECOR
Find a metal framed heart from a craft store. Pick out different ribbons and fabrics. Wrap the frame and hot glue the ends to secure. Hang on your front door or on a wall for festive vibes.
MOVIE NIGHT
Let the kids help pick out a fun family V-day vibe movie like, Gnomeo and Juliet, Lady and the Tramp, Ella Enchanted… etc. Then pop some popcorn and melt some marshmallows add to a baking pan add some festive sprinkles and bake for a sweet treat to go with the movie.
SELF CARE
For some fun, self-care with the littles, pour a glass of sparkling grape juice. Make a plate of cheese, fruit, and chocolate. Turn on some good music. Put on a good (nontoxic) sheet mask and create some sweet memories.
